plans for this week!

It really feels like we have a busy week coming up but I have to remember I am off for the summer so we have ALL DAY!
Jett has two appts this week in Rapid. A cardiology check up Tuesday and a urology checkup Thursday. So, we will incorporate a "cheap-seats" movie and a trip to Sam's Club!
My little brother is up Tuesday morning in the Belle Rodeo, 9 am slack so we will check that out before we head to Rapid!
Oh and I have a dentist appt Thursday morning.
I hope to take the boys to the water park Wed at noon! (anyone want to join us???)
We need to help out with the Black Hills Christian Academy 4th of July Float and the boys will ride on the float Sat morning!
I'm sure we will take the kids to the carnival Sat afternoon and watch the fireworks. Maybe I will be brave enough to let them get sparklers this year!

OH Man,,, is it really the week of the 4th???
reminiscing in my mind, I met Donnie, Sat the 4th, thirteen years ago!!! WOW, boy how things have changed!
Well, let me be the first to say,,, Happy Fourth of July!

Home Sweet Home and more Yellowstone!

Ah at last we are home,,, it is so great to be home but what an amazing trip. A little bickering and two little boys who had selective hearing but, overall it was a great time! We made some awesome memories.
Here are a few more visual memories:

Indian Pond Trail,,, don't worry
Daddy had the Bear Spray!

Same Hike by Yellowstone Lake

Good 'Ol Mr. Beaver... sweet as can be!

At Old Faithful by a little geyser

One of the many bison we saw while in the Park!

Family Summer Vacation

June 2oo9 Yellowstone National Park Trip: June 21-27

This is Cory our fearless leader, trying to hurry through "a bear area" hike on Indian Pond Trail that led us along the Yellowstone Lake! Once we got out of the bear area we were really enjoying this almost 3 mile hike! The boys did great! We saw Yellow-bellied Marmots (rock chucks), a REALLY cool beaver that was pretty much showing off for us and a huge bison that was in the trail!! Yeah, we walked around him,,, WAY around!

Jett, squinting his eyes in the sun, trying to pose by "his" geyser! "Jet Geyser" that looked all dried up but nonetheless, it was "his geyser!"

Posing at the bottom of the "Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" next to the Yellowstone river at the Lower Falls! AMAZING!!!!! and that hill was a lot bigger coming up but the boys came flying right up it,,, like they'd been hiking 1ok's.

The boys found Yellowstone on this cool floor map at the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum. They LOVED the animal section of this mesuem,,, I highly recommend it if you are in Cody, WY!!! 0

Missing Maddy, bloated and stuff

Well, it has been almost a week since we got back from CO and I am missing the Frenchies. After Maddy's mom left for CA Maddy was "my girl," well until her dad got home at night! Anyway, she is super sweet and makes me want my girl!

Okay, I gotta get going. I don't want to, but I am going to make myself go to the gym! They have daycare from 8-noon so I better get off this computer! I feel so bloated! and by the way, Cramps suck! (Yes Cory, I can put that on here because you are the only one who reads my blog, except for Tina, but she understands I am sure!) I just want to be done with womanly crap!

Gotta do something with Sadie! I think it is almost time to let her go! She is having seizures again!

Walmart, packing, getting my neices for three nights and then we HEAD OUT!~ Whoohoo!

Home Sweet Home!

Ah yes! We are home! It felt like a long trip but once the triple shot latte and diet Pepsi kicked in, the last part of the trip wasn't so bad! We had such a great time with The Frenchies! I had such a hard time leaving Maddy but she made it easy on me when she totally ignored me because she was so excited her Grandma had come (to relieve me.) The boys are missing their friend Myles and the girls. They seem so ready for a baby brother or sister, specially Jett, BUT are Cory and I !??! I just loved watching Jett, how he adored little baby Addi, giving her the pacifier and talking to her when she needed attention. Oakley played so soft and gentle with Maddi (2) even though she knows how to be tough. She has learned to play rough with the boys but Oakley was still so gentle to her. I just wish they would show that love and kindness with each other!

So after church today the boys are playing outside while Cory is mowing our TALL grass and over abundance of weeds. Well this week,we will be getting ready for our BIG (tent) camping trip! PRAY we don't get eaten by bears at Yellowstone! We leave the 21st~ WHOOHOO!

Cozy Cow Field Trip!

Melissa took us to a Dairy Farm that caters to the youngins! We got a tour of the milking, fed baby calves and goats and then the boys enjoyed homemade ice cream and milk too! We went with our college friend, Kristen and her three kiddos. It was a great time had by all!

HUM,,, Goals!Summer plans??? GOAL UPDATE!

I think I should focus on selling my camper! DONE! CAMPER IS SOLD! YES! THANK YOU LORD!

I should get outside and put some sweat labor into my "yard" HAVEN'T DONE THAT YET!
I should brainstorm something NICE for my neighbors,,, specially the girls who always babysit for me, even last minute. The girls are a Godsend! I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING YET,,, I NEED TO THINK OF SOMETHING COOL!
I should get my curriculum map done at work and speaking of *important things* I need to get my horse trailer licenced! I DECIDED THE CURR. MAP ISN'T REALLY A BIG DEAL,,, WHOOPIE! AND I DIDN'T GET MY TRAILER LICENCED YET BUT WILL!!!

I should buy hog panels, build some little pens and get a pygmy goat! (Maybe Jett can show her in 4-H!) and someday I want chickens, ducks and maybe a rabbit or two! I CALLED THE 4-H LADY AND SHE SAID JETT CAN'T SHOW ANIMALS UNTIL HE IS 9,,, DUE TO HIS JAN. BDAY, SO WE WILL HOLD OFF ON 4-H ANIMALS FOR NOW.

I should have a scrapbooking "girls night!" ASAP! STILL NEED TO DO THIS! ASAP!

I should take my boys and husband to Yellowstone National Park in June! IT IS PLANNED AND RESERVATIONS ARE MADE! WE ARE LEAVING THE 21ST, FATHER'S DAY!

I should do something special for my husband when he gets home from MT (late anniversary thing!)

I should finish Blue Like Jazz and give it back to Wendy! I FINISHED IT! BUT KEEP FORGETTING TO GIVE WENDY HER BOOK!

I should work at one of the Rec Centers this summer to get paid to workout!
I'M NOT TO SURE ABOUT THIS ONE, BUT I COULD APPLY TO TEACH CLASSES IF I REALLY WANTED TO! (my post below might insinuate I need to teach spinning classes!)

additional goals and thoughts for this summer as of June 7th:

work out every week day,,, at home or at a gym.... ah, good luck with this one, specially when I'm out of town!
and stick with spinning, take it to a whole-nother level,,, maybe get get spinning shoes or a REAL bike, ah that's scary!

get caught up and stay caught up on my daily new testament readings

finish my 'Praying WIFE Book'

and I am sure there are more,,, let me think!

Pictures from two weeks ago...

When we went to Sheridan we got to see my Uncle Mark... who by the way is an amazing man! He is like a second dad to me! He was in a car accident 5 years ago and paralyzed from the chest down. He does quite well as he has continued on with his life, pretty close to normal. He is an advocate for others with disabilities, that they can do anything they put their mind to. In fact he just shot a bear in the Big Horns with a cross bow, from his electric chair! WOW... He took the boys fishing at the creek by his house. Even though they didn't catch anything we all had a great time!
